The Triangles beat the Columbus Panhandles 14-0 in the first NFL game, with nearly 5,000 fans paying $1.75 a ticket, and Lou Partlow of West Carrollton scored the first touchdown. The name came from three factory sponsors: Delco, Dayton Metal and the Domestic Engineering Company.
