In 1981 the Sting beat the Cosmos in a shootout and gave Chicago its first pro championship since the ’63 Bears. A hundred thousand people came downtown for the parade. Soccer. In Chicago. In 1981.
Three years later they won the last title the NASL ever handed out, then the league folded around them.
This one puts that angry little bee and the striped wordmark back in circulation, for the people who remember Wrigley Field hosting a soccer match and everyone else who wishes they had.
